Privacy Policy
Casey Sand & Soil Building Supplies respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why we collect it and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
Only what you type into our forms. The contact form and the quote form ask for your name, phone number and email address, plus whatever you tell us about the job: the product, the quantity and the delivery suburb.
We don't collect payment details through this website. We don't ask for sensitive information, and you don't need an account to use the site.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry, work out a price, and arrange delivery or pickup. That's it. We won't add you to a mailing list off the back of a quote request.
Who sees it
Our own staff, so we can get back to you. We don't sell, rent or trade your information.
Some of the services that run this website, such as our web hosting and the service that delivers our email, necessarily handle the information as it passes through. We use reputable providers and only for the purpose of running the site. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
As long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and to meet our record-keeping obligations. When we no longer need it, we destroy or de-identify it.
Keeping it secure
Information sent through this site travels over an encrypted connection, and we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No system is perfect, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses only what it needs to function and to understand how people use it, in aggregate. That information doesn't identify you personally. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.
Seeing or correcting your information
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below and we'll respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify who you are first.
Complaints
If you think we've mishandled your personal information, get in touch and we'll work through it with you. If you're not satisfied with how we've handled it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
